Sun Prairie Bulk Item Pickup and the Recycle Center
Updated
Short answer
Sun Prairie bulk items are picked up by contractors, not the city: Pellitteri, Guy-Girl and a Truck or File 13 for electronics. Nothing goes out before noon the day before. Non-refrigerant appliances can go to the Recycle Center at 1798 S. Bird St with a city permit.
Public Works answers questions at 608-837-3050. For self-haul the city lists the Dane County Landfill and the Madison Prairie Landfill. See the Sun Prairie page.
Quick answers
Does Sun Prairie pick up bulk items for free?
No. Bulk items are a paid curbside pickup through a contractor; the Recycle Center takes some items with a permit.
Rather not haul it yourself?
Tell us what needs to go and where. A local crew sorts the recycling, donation and landfill streams for you and replies with a price first.
